Halloween winners!

We had a record number of entries for our Halloween colouring copmpetition this year. Thank you to our excellent little artists, the entries were inventive, super creative and suitably spooky! Here are two photos to two of our winners Cathlyn who won a special mention prize for excellent creatvitiy and little Luke. Although he isn't smiling, he was actually really excited to receive a prize, just camera shy!

Maisy Mania!!!!!!

Maisy made a visit to The Golden Treasury and her little mouse friends were there to greet her in style! We enjoyed the new story of Maisy's adventure in the city, also her camping escapades and lastly a low tech but exciting pop-up story of Things That Go!

We also saw lots of concentration during the colouring of the Maisy sheets, winner's photos to be shown soon, so look out for them! We all had such a great time and what a treat to have Maisy come and offer excellent hugs to everyone.

Father's Day

Sunday, 19th June is Father's Day and as always we've got some lovely cards to suit all kinds of Dads, Daddies and Fathers. If you want to make the day extra special, you could always get Dad a book to relax with too! We've got a great selection of titles in, so come and have a browse.

We're also running our hugely popular colouring competition again, so do drop by a pick up an entry form. The winner will receive a goody bag for themselves AND one for their Dad too, so we're expecting lots of entries!

Two of our favourites for Mothering Sunday!

Mothering Sunday is 3rd April this year and here are two of our favourite books that are just perfect to give.

How to Crack an Egg With One Hand is a humorous guide to parenthood, including everything from the deeply serious to the hilarious. With fascinating facts such as when the epidural was invented, and how to write your child's name in Chinese.

I Love my Mummy is a wonderful lyrical read, all about the simple things in a baby's relationship with his mummy.

Also come in and see our range of cards and gifts perfect for a special mum.

*We are also running our Mother's Day competition this year. Pop into the shop and pick-up a coulouring sheet and also write a lovely Mother's Day message to your mum. Closing date is 1st April and there are prizes for the winner and the winner's mother! Look out for your entry in our window display*

Halloween Winners!

Wow! We were overwhelmed with the wonderful entries in our Halloween colouring competition this year, there were so many great submissions that they filled our entire window.

Thank you so much to everybody who entered, we really enjoyed all the inventive colouring and sticking. It was a hard decision to make, but we chose 5 winners and here are Sammie and William who came to pick-up their prizes on Saturday.
